Welcome to the website of the Grey Robe Monks of St. Benedict. We are an ecumenical order of Benedictines comprised of Catholics, Lutherans, Methodists and Orthodox Christians drawn to monastic spirituality through the Rule of St. Benedict.
We are a monastery without walls. Our members live and work in the secular world, but come together as a community for prayer and work with social justice issues. Many of the members are married or in committed relationships.
In keeping with Benedictine tradition, each community stands independently with a life and character of its own. However, each of our communities follows the Rule of St. Benedict in their life through prayer, work and outreach.
All who visit this site will be remembered in our prayers.
